Iodine

Iodine has several important functions in the body. Above all, it plays a central role in the function of the thyroid gland and thus in hormone regulation. Thus, iodine has an indirect influence on carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism, as well as on the function of the ovaries. In addition, iodine may be helpful for maintaining a healthy psyche and for the prevention as well as therapy for depression.

Iodine in the form of sprouts is easy for the body to break down, as it comes from plant sources. In addition, these sprouts are also excellent to combine with iodine-rich fish (preferably small fish if possible as they contain less pollution from heavy metals).
